NEW  Configuring the connection to Meridian Enterprise Server

Meridian Enterprise can connect to a Meridian Enterprise Server computer to share a number of services in common:

These features are configured in Meridian Enterprise Administrator for all vaults that are hosted by the same server.

To configure the connection to Meridian Enterprise Server:

  1. In Meridian Enterprise Administrator, select EDM Server in the left pane and then click Properties on the Action menu. The EDM Server Properties dialog box appears.
  2. Click the Settings tab. The Meridian Enterprise Server connection options appear.
  3. Click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.

Option Description

Enterprise Server web server

Type the server name, IP port number, domain name, and account name in Address using the following syntax.

<ServerName>:<PortNumber>@<DomainName>\<AccountName>

Computer running the Enterprise services

Click Browse and select the name of the Meridian Enterprise Server computer in your domain.

Use Enterprise server for user management

If enabled, Meridian Enterprise security will use the groups and users that are defined in Meridian Enterprise Server Administration Console instead of in Meridian Enterprise Configurator. Changes to the users and groups can be made from either application. For information on managing users and groups in Meridian Enterprise Server, see the BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise Server Administrator's Guide.

Use Enterprise server for audit trail

If enabled, Meridian Enterprise actions will be logged to the audit log database in Meridian Enterprise Server instead of in a separate database. The actions are combined with the Meridian Enterprise Server actions that are also logged. For information on managing the Meridian Enterprise Server audit log, see the BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise Server Administrator's Guide.

  1. Click OK.
  2. Restart the EDM Server service.
